Replacing regular exterior mirrors, the new Actros is equipped with the revolutionary, aerodynamic MirrorCam. The ingenious system provides an optimal all-round view, high levels of safety when manoeuvring, turning and changing lanes.

Multimedia Cockpit.

The Multimedia Cockpit is an industry first, consisting of two, 15-inch screens for the MirrorCam. One 12-inch primary display and a 10-inch secondary display. The Multimedia Cockpit promotes driver productivity and counteracts fatigue so that drivers can work better, drive better and live better.

Predictive Power Train

Predictive Powertrain Control.

The new Actros makes use of a satellite-based positioning system and a 3D road map to identify the course of the road, such as uphill or downhill gradients ahead. Based on this information, the new Actros is able to take corresponding, anticipatory action by optimising shift points and cruise control speed. PPC improves efficiency and allows for fuel savings of up to 5%.

Active Brake Assist

Active Brake Assist 5.

Within the system limits, Active Brake Assist 5 is the world’s first emergency brake assistance system that not only detects but also initiate emergency braking when a risk of collision with a vehicle travelling ahead, a stationary object or moving pedestrian is picked up.

The new service innovation, Mercedes-Benz Uptime, uses intelligent connectivity to ensure the prevention of breakdowns, more efficient management of repair and maintenance requirements and real-time support for customer repair measures.
